“Hearing” Comes!
Genesis 12:4 So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.*
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
It is amazing that in the first “calling out” of God for His people, God used His voice just as He used His voice to create the world! He used an audible sound to communicate to Abram that he would hear Him and know His desire. Holy Spirit reveals to us in the initial interactions of God and Abram in Genesis 12 that they had a conversation that was heard!
Abraham knew God by His VOICE! And understood the Language of The Creator of the World! What language did Abram speak? Or even God for that matter! Whatever the language when God, “said” Abram “knew”. What a Powerful thought!
The Voice of God is divinely understood beyond our understanding that when we hear Him, we will know it is God who speaks!
The only visual Abram had was the imagination in his mind as God spoke the great promises unto him and His descendants in his HEARING! And it is from this very WAY God has chosen to COMMUNICATE with the ones He created. He Speaks and we are to Hear. The Hearing of God’s Voice is the prelude to the next steps of our everyday moments of life, the Great catalyst for a TRAJECTORY OF CHANGE or a CLOSED DOOR TO TRUE LIFE!
Faith, COMES THROUGH THE VOICE OF GOD! It’s not seen ONLY HEARD!
THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A MINUTE!
The foundational truth of all we know as Born Again Christians in Jesus Christ has been revealed to us through what WE HEARD! Whether in the sound of another or The written Word of His thoughts, Our Father SPEAKS to us so that we HEAR and have Faith in His Voice! God said it and it is!
What proceeds “out of the mouth of God” is His sound, His voice, His words, His language, and the very understanding of His will! God is communicating to us that He is speaking and we are to believe what He said and respond in obedience. It that’s simple!
Abram did not SEE a host of angels, He didn’t SEE a great vision, He didn’t SEE the Glory of God or SEE the Hand that covered him. He only Heard HIM. It was God who Spoke not in details, only of Promises! Remember, almost 10 years later Abraham asked God about these very Promises(Genesis 15).
Abram HEARD The Creator, The Only Existing One, The Eternal God of Israel speak, and His next step was to listen and adhere to Words that proceeded to his ear from God. It’s called Faith.
Born Again Christians, are Born and Live by Faith! Everything from God comes to US through the avenue of HEARING HIM. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, The Unadulterated Truth, The Blessed Way, and His Eternal Everlasting Life must be heard to receive. Even Life abundantly in the earth that is of Jesus Christ, comes by Faith in His demonstration, devotion, and instructions in our given righteous life revealed in The Bible. And the Creator chose this avenue to reconcile His children to Himself through the HEARING of the ONE He sent, Jesus Christ.
Could it be in our human blindness of God, that HEARING is magnified and the Great Manifestation of God is revealed? Revealed in our Salvation and the daily Honor of God through obedience unto Jesus Christ as one kept by The LORD! You Hear and Know because He is!
Close your eyes and open your ears, that FAITH is delivered to your very heart, mind, soul, and strength! It is the only PATH for Salvation and the only ROAD for maturing in the Life of Jesus Christ! Pray that you are Enlightened to Hear His HOPE afresh today!
